Marketing & Production Manager.

Marketing & Production Manager.

Saheli Women is looking for a new manager to come and experience our dynamic studio life in rural Rajasthan. Life in our artisanal studio spaces is unlike any other and our sight managers typically work for us in person for 4-6 months.

As we look forward to the future of our organisation, we have big plans to achieve that require a strong on-sight manager, whose ethical goals align with ours: someone who understands that women's empowerment at every level of the fashion supply chain can change the trajectory of the industry for good. Every day brings new triumphs and challenges, that we have the pleasure of celebrating or overcoming together, as a growing team of over 100 women.

Managerial duties include:

  • Client communication, such as sharing colour and fabric samples, and discussing client budgets and ideas

  • Overseeing production processes and quality

  • Getting to know the women in the centre, and championing their voices Mediating cultural differences between clients and the women at the centre. We do not expect candidates to speak Hindi, or have a deep understanding of Indian culture on arrival at our centre by any means, but being open and understanding to all the different cultural backgrounds of our clients and how they can best understand the necessities of the women at the centre is important.

  • Social Media Marketing

  • Client Onboarding

  • Putting your skills to their best use! For example, fashion designers might be able to train women in a new skill, or contribute to collection design. Videographers could develop a docu-series of working life in the studios. A wide range of creative skills could be very valuable for our upcoming projects, and we want you to develop your skills in the best way possible while you are here

  • Organising funding efforts, and sustainable fashion and women's empowerment collaborations

  • Finding your replacement on-sight manager

We welcome people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels to apply.

Potential professional or educational backgrounds could include fashion, textiles, sustainability, or business development and entrepreneurship. If you come from a different background, don't feel put off by this list. Educate us as to why your experience could be just what we need, to grow our organisation even further. Most importantly, candidates should be confident in their creativity, willingness to experience a new culture, and passion for a sustainable, ethical future in the fashion industry.
